Frequently Asked Questions

Our Vision

You are unique, and any health issues you face are unique to you as well. Each session is tailored specifically to your needs, adapting as you progress. It is important to understand the type of treatment you will receive, how we determine it, the duration, the number of sessions required, and the associated costs. These FAQ’s will help you understand how we can assist you.

1. Do you do consultations and what’s involved?. Consultations are always done before any set of treatments is started. They can take up to 20 minutes. There is no charge for consultations if accompanied by a massage session. On certain days posted on the website, free consultations without treatment are available. Consultations consist of: Current Issues and Time Frame Medical Background Prescribed Medications Postural Analysis Allergies and Intolerances

2. is the treatment painful? We use a number of different modalities in our sessions. These include sports massage, deep tissue, myofacial release, trigger point and osteopathic spinal manipulation. It can become uncomfortable and possibly even a little painful during the session as we release superficial and deep tension and trauma. You may find that you may feel a little sore the next day, but this usually passes with 24 hours.

3.how long do sessions last? Typically, sessions will last between 45-90 minutes depending on the issues and problems that need work. Instead of working price to a clock, we work to the completion of the work undertaken. This is why we charge by the session and not by the clock.

4.how many sessions will I need? The frequency of sessions will vary based on the issues being treated. A single session can only contribute so much to recovery and treatment. We recommend a package of 6 sessions, with the first 3-4 sessions typically scheduled weekly. This approach allows us to address deep tissue problems effectively while minimizing discomfort for the client. Thereafter we take an 2 week break before moving onto a monthly or bi-monthly maintenance schedule.
